Are These The Results You Expect From Your Tax Dollars?

The Connecticut Department of Education makes school ranking information available on their website . We've compiled the chart below to demonstrate how Region 14 school's rankings have plummeted over the past 2 years. A school's ranking is not entirely based on testing, there are other factors involved in determining the final ranking score.

If your student brought home the grades achieved by Woodbury Middle School over the past five years, what would your reaction be?

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REGION 14'S PERFORMANCE DEFICIT?

ARE THEY BEING HELD ACCOUNTABLE?

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS INFORMATION PUBLISHED BY REGION 14 OR DISCUSSED IN THE BUDGET?

IS THIS LEVEL OF PERFORMANCE ACCEPTABLE TO TAXPAYERS?

Plummeting Region 14 performance rankings not only impact a student's future but also have a devasting impact on your home's property value. Additionally, poor school performance will cause more families to move out of town and less families to move in. This issue further compounds school budget issues because less people paying taxes in town will cause HIGHER TAXES FOR ALL.

Region 14's budget and administrative staffing and salaries continue to increase
while student's performance, school rankings and enrollment consistently DECREASE,
all at an alarming rate (see chart above).
